Ouranós Kokkinos

Ouranós Kokkinos is a very original and charming apartment for up to five people (approx. 65 m²). The apartment is ideal for couples, families or friends who want to spend a relaxing vacation in an authentic Cretan atmosphere. Here you can immediately feel the tranquillity of the village, the rhythm of the island and the serenity that makes you forget everyday life.

We attach great importance to authentic design and clear lines that emphasize the character of the house. Everything is deliberately kept original, climate-friendly and functional, just as the builders of the house intended more than 140 years ago. Natural materials, handcrafted details and solid construction create rooms in which you immediately feel at home – simple and with soul.

Our color concept also tells stories: A warm, inviting red dominates in the Kokkinos, while cool blue tones characterize the ambience in the Blé. Each apartment thus becomes a unique retreat that combines comfort, harmony and a Mediterranean lifestyle.

The Kokkinos apartment has several terraces on different levels, each with its own character. One directly at the kitchen house, a covered terrace between the two apartments and the sun terraces on the roof.

Here you can change places according to your mood and the time of day – always close to life, but always a little bit to yourself.

The living rooms

A comfortable double bed and a single bed await you in the large living room and bedroom. Wood, quarry stone, chests of drawers and chests give the room a warm, authentic atmosphere. The light falls softly through the room – you immediately feel at home and relaxed.
The room has a separate entrance.

The smaller bedroom offers two more beds, a closet and access to the bathroom. For couples, small families or friends, it naturally becomes a dressing room or quiet retreat. This room also has its own entrance and opens onto the covered terrace, which is located between the two apartments and remains pleasantly cool even on warm days – a wonderful place for your first coffee or a break in between.

This room leads to the bathroom with WC, shower, shelves, shelf and hairdryer. Simple, well thought-out and everything you need for a relaxing vacation.

The kitchen house

A special feature is our separate kitchen house, which is directly accessible via the terrace.

Here you can cook together, almost in the open air, enjoy the first coffee of the day or prepare a late dinner – if you don’t stop off at one of Pitsidia’s wonderful tavernas.

The kitchen house is directly connected to a seating and dining area shaded by a huge bougainvillea.

The terraces

The terraces of Ouranós House are small favorite places in the open air – open to light, air and the serenity of Crete. The Kokkinos apartment has several terraces on different levels, each with its own atmosphere.

There is a terrace right next to the separate kitchen house, which is ideal for breakfast, cooking together or other meals.

The covered terrace between the two apartments (and for the guests of both apartments) remains pleasantly cool even on warm days thanks to the fan. A quiet place for a break, a book or a chat in the shade. Or a not-so-quiet place to end the evening.

The sun terraces are located on the roof of the Kokkino. Choose between loungers and chairs – and enjoy the fantastic view of the mountains.
